Bambito Geisha Washed
Tasting notes
High in the mist-shrouded highlands of Panama’s Chiriquí region, Bambito Estate continues a legacy that spans five generations. Now lovingly stewarded by Iván González and his mother Priscilla, this family-owned farm stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of Panama’s coffee heritage, cultivated across generations and nurtured by a deep respect for tradition and terroir.
Perched between 1,600–1,800 m above sea level, Bambito benefits from a rare microclimate created by mountain ridges that shield the farm from harsh winds—ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation and layered flavor development.
Once on the verge of being sold, Bambito was lovingly preserved and revitalized by Iván and Priscilla—turning a potential farewell into a new chapter defined by excellence. Their small-scale production prioritizes quality over quantity, delivering just a few masterfully crafted microlots each season.
Visiting the estate feels like stepping into a time-honored ritual: greeted in a historic farmhouse cupping room, framed by native gardens and enveloped by fog-tinted mornings. Each bean reflects the tender care and intentionality that flows from four generations of farming.
Every sip of Bambito’s Geisha offers an aromatic journey: think jasmine, wild strawberry, and a whisper of exotic fruit, all radiant with elegance and clarity.
