Pineapple Cacao Nibs Pomegranate

Nestled in the highlands of Boquete, Chiriquí, Panama, lies Abu Coffee, a testament to passion, legacy, and the pursuit of coffee excellence. Owned and nurtured by José Luttrell, the estate carries forward a family tradition that spans generations, honoring the pioneering spirit of his grandfather, José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman—the inspiration behind the farm's name, “Abu,” meaning “grandfather” in Spanish.

Set amidst the rich volcanic soils and misty slopes of Finca Cañas Verdes, at an elevation of approximately 1,550 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from a unique microclimate ideal for specialty coffee cultivation. This harmonious environment allows José to cultivate an exceptional array of coffee varietals, including the world-renowned Geisha and the classic Catuai, each bean reflecting the intricate balance of nature and meticulous care.

José Luttrell’s unwavering dedication to quality is reflected not only in the farm’s meticulous harvesting and processing techniques but also in the international recognition Abu Coffee has earned, including accolades at the prestigious Best of Panama competition. Every cup from Abu Coffee tells a story of innovation, heritage, and a relentless commitment to excellence.

From its rich history to its modern achievements, Abu Coffee stands as a beacon of Panama’s specialty coffee scene, where tradition and innovation converge in every bean, and every brew becomes a celebration of legacy and craftsmanship.
